Kim gained her medical degree in Cape Town and worked in clinical medicine in Southern Africa and the UK before moving to into the pharmaceutical industry, with roles of increasing responsibility at Hammersmith Medicines Research, Takeda, Amgen, Norgine, Aimmune and the TAK-celerator external innovation group at Takeda.

She completed her Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialist training in the UK and has worked across numerous therapeutic areas, including a return to academic medicine as a Medical Specialist in clinical pharmacology. Alongside her role with Amphera, Kim is the Head of Medical Services at TMC Pharma Services, a UK based Pharmaceutical Development Organisation.
